Dynamic Motor Starting

The main objective of a Motor Starting Analysis on an Electrical Power System is to assess the Power system voltage dips as well as accelerating times of motors, using a variety of starting methods.

The way we proceed:

We perform Motor Starting analysis using numerical simulation by modeling the entire electrical power system.

We acurately model the starting motor by means of its electrical and mechanical parameters (rated power, synchronous speed, moment of inertia, etc...).

Also, the load is acurately modeled (torque curve, moment of inertia), and different starting assistance methods  are considered.

Results analysis:

At the end of our analysis, we will check the following:

-Insure that the voltage levels during starting are within acceptable limits,

-Selection of a starting method,

-The motor will pick up the load and will not stall.

We can carry out on site measurements to obtain the missing equipment parameters and validate the simulation model.
